These terms are an agreement between you and OmniAlera Technologies Holdings Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA ("OmniAlera", "we", "us"), for your use of FaithScroll at faithscroll.omnialera.com ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Scripture is free
Reading the Bible in FaithScroll is free, and always will be. Every translation, language, reading plan, note, highlight and prayer tool works without paying. Paid plans add extra study help and bigger groups; they never unlock scripture itself.
No accounts
FaithScroll has no usernames or passwords. Your notes, highlights and progress stay in your browser unless you turn on sync, which stores an encrypted copy that only your private sync code can unlock.
Keep your sync code safe. It is the only key to your synced data and to a FaithScroll Plus or Church subscription on other devices. We cannot see it, reset it or recover it. If you lose it, you can still manage or cancel your subscription by email through the "Lost your sync code?" link on the Plans page.
FaithScroll Plus and Church
- What you get. The current features and limits of each plan are shown on the Plans page in the app. We may improve plans over time; if we ever reduce what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in the app before your next renewal.
- Prices. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay, and any taxes are added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. If we change a price, the new price applies only from your next renewal after we tell you, and you can cancel before then.
- Free trial. Your first FaithScroll Plus subscription includes a 7-day free trial. You are not charged if you cancel before the trial ends. One free trial per person.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time from Manage subscription in the app (or by email through the "Lost your sync code?" link). You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Church plans. The person who pays for a Church plan controls who receives a leader code and can remove all leaders at any time. Leaders lose Church features if the plan ends or they are removed.
- If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it for a short time. If it still fails, the plan ends and the app returns to the free features. Nothing you wrote is deleted.
Refunds
We want you to be glad you paid.
- Monthly plans: cancel any time to stop future charges. We do not normally refund part of a month, but if you were charged by mistake or something did not work, contact us within 30 days and we will put it right.
- Yearly plans: if you change your mind, ask within 14 days of a yearly charge (including the first charge after a free trial) and we will refund it in full. After 14 days, you keep the plan until the end of the year and it will not renew once cancelled.
- Gifts (donations) are voluntary and generally not refundable, but if you gave by mistake, contact us within 30 days.
- Your legal rights come first. If the law where you live gives you more rights (for example, a cooling-off period), those rights apply.
To ask for a refund, email support@omnialera.com from the email address on your Stripe receipt and include the receipt number. Refunds go back to the original card, usually within 5–10 working days.
AI study help
AI explanations and study guides are written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) from the passage and trusted study sources. They can be wrong or incomplete. They are a study aid, not scripture, not pastoral counsel, and not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice. Always read the passage itself, and speak to a trusted pastor, counsellor or professional about important decisions. If you are in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services.
Groups and community
You are responsible for what you post. Be kind and honest, and do not post anything that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or that shares someone's private details without permission. Do not post other people's copyrighted material unless you have the right to. Group leaders can remove posts and members, and we may remove content or block access to protect people. Community circles are for people 13 or older; paid plans must be bought by an adult, or by a young person with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Fair use
Please don't misuse the app: no automated scraping, overloading, attempts to get around limits, reselling access, or breaking the app's security. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
Bible texts and content
Bible translations are used under their licences or because they are in the public domain; each one's source is listed in Settings → Sources. The FaithScroll app, design and original content belong to OmniAlera. You keep ownership of what you write; you give us only the permission we need to store it and show it to the people you share it with.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep FaithScroll available and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever close the app, paid subscribers will receive a refund for any unused paid time.
Limits of our responsibility
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, OmniAlera is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without affecting any consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using FaithScroll after a change, the new terms apply.
